We moved over to Harrington Beach SP today. A short drive (for us) of about a hundred miles or so. Did stop and WalMart and stumbled across an 8 Gigabyte SD card for the camera for less than ten bucks. Score!
So we got to spend the afternoon at the beach. Saw a three-master sail by going south, perhaps on its way to Milwaukee or Chicago. I wonder if there might be a tall ships rally on the Great Lakes this summer.
Washed some of the road dust off the RV and in the process discovered that the sixteen-year-old Jolly Roger Sailing Club 50th anniversary cloth bucket I've been carrying isn't really suited to holding water for long. Does a nice job on the way back from the faucet of watering the road to keep the dust down though.
Pretty much a laid back day with no real highlights until dinnertime. Decided to try the TV to see if the antenna could find any available channels. Found 48 of them. I guess being fairly close to Milwaukee has its side benefits. We watched the episode of Ken Burns' National Parks series on the founding of Yellowstone and Yosemite. And then, bonus: an episode of Sgt. Preston of the Yukon and an old John Wayne black and white cow
boy movie. Life is good!
Well, King, for us this case is closed.
